DUBAI, DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- MENA Construction Summit 2026 takes place on 9 and 10 November at Madinat Jumeirah Hotel, Dubai, under the theme "Design. Build, Operate. Connect." This year, the summit is joined by UNBX 2.0, a modular construction forum hosted by Dubai Municipality.

Across the MENA region, governments are building infrastructure at an unprecedented pace and scale. Roads, railways, metros, tunnels, utilities and urban networks account for trillions of dollars in committed capital, in programmes that will shape how the region moves and functions for generations.
The value of these infrastructure projects is thus measured over decades. However, their operational performance is often excluded or neglected during the design and construction process.

MENA Construction Summit 2026 aims to address this issue by examining how the region can connect investment and delivery with reliable, affordable operation. Project owners, authorities, contractors, financiers and operators will explore how to build assets that meet service needs, withstand changing conditions and remain maintainable throughout their lives.

Day One follows the decisions that shape delivery: project readiness, finance, procurement, design, industrialised construction and supply chains. Day Two follows the responsibilities that continue after completion: acceptance, operating budgets, maintenance, resilience, asset information and renewal.

Organised by MEED in collaboration with Group Amana, UNBX is the summit’s focused programme on industrialised construction. A shared opening session establishes where modular and offsite methods can improve outcomes. Dedicated discussions then examine the approvals, design interfaces, manufacturing capacity and commercial commitments needed to deliver those outcomes.

Drawing on MEED research based on more than 30 interviews with developers, consultants and contractors across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, it tackles the blockers the market named, from cost disagreements to a shortage of credible factories.

Eng. Maryam Al Muhairi, CEO of the Buildings Regulation and Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, said: “Dubai Municipality is committed to accelerating the adoption of modern methods of construction methods by creating a regulatory environment that enables innovation while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

She added: “UNBX 2.0 provides an important platform to bring regulators, developers, manufacturers and industry specialists together to address the practical challenges of adopting modular construction, including regulatory approvals, design integration and manufacturing readiness. By hosting the forum alongside the MENA Construction Summit, we aim to strengthen industry collaboration and advance practical solutions that support Dubai’s vision for a more innovative and future-ready construction sector.”

Together, the two events tell one story: infrastructure that connects, and places ready to be lived in, worked in and sustained. Delegates will see what is changing across construction technology, offsite approaches, digital delivery, sustainability and asset performance, who is driving it and what they can apply to their own projects.
