Qatar Delays Economic Forum as Regional Instability Persists

(MENAFN) The annual Qatar Economic Forum has been postponed in response to ongoing instability in the Middle East, with organizers promising to announce new dates and an updated agenda in the near future.

The event, hosted in Doha and powered by Bloomberg, had originally been scheduled for May 12–14.

“The Forum will reconvene under conditions that enable strong international participation and a high-quality experience for all,” the organizers said in a statement on Wednesday.

The decision follows a series of retaliatory strikes by Iran at the end of February targeting US-affiliated bases and companies in the Gulf region, actions which have also affected Qatar.
