Kuwait Activates Air Defenses Amid Incoming Missile

(MENAFN) Kuwait’s military announced early Thursday that its air defense systems were actively responding to “hostile missile and drone attacks” directed at the country.

According to reports, the General Staff of the Army stated that defense units were engaging incoming threats, noting that explosions were heard in certain areas as a result of interception operations.

Authorities also called on residents to follow safety instructions issued by the relevant agencies.

Reports indicate that the situation comes amid escalating regional tensions, following continued joint US-Israeli operations against Iran since February 28, which have reportedly resulted in around 1,300 deaths, including senior figures.

In response, Iran has launched drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military forces, leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions to global markets and aviation.
