Qatar Intercepts Majority of Iranian Drone Strikes
According to a statement from the Qatari Defense Ministry, the nation faced assaults at dawn involving 10 drones originating from Iran.
The statement indicated that nine drones were successfully "neutralized," and one "came down harmlessly in an uninhabited area."
It emphasized that Qatari forces possess the essential "capabilities and resources to protect the country’s sovereignty and territory," urging both residents and visitors to stay composed and adhere to official guidance.
Since Feb. 28, Iran has deployed missiles and drones targeting Israel and Gulf nations hosting US military facilities. Some of these strikes have resulted in casualties and inflicted damage on civilian infrastructure, such as ports and residential complexes.
Tehran asserts that these operations are in retaliation for a "US-Israeli military campaign against Iran" that has killed hundreds, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and senior military commanders.
